BRCA conserves the lands, water quality, and natural heritage of the Belgrade Lakes Watershed. We are a land trust and a lake trust. The land trust includes land preservation through land acquisition and stewardship. The lake trust includes the Milfoil program, the Conservation Corps program, and the Watershed program. Our activities include land preservation, watershed protection, and a youth conservation corps.

The BRCA is excited to announce the expansion of the Kennebec Highlands.

'The landscape features of the Kennebec Highlands are outstanding, as is its importance as wildlife habitat. Preservation of this large contiguous block of habitat will have a long-term beneficial value — not just for the Belgrade Lakes region, but for the state as a whole.'
William Hancock
Maine Audubon Society, 2001
