BRCA is a volunteer land trust and lake trust that relies on membership dues and contributions to achieve its conservation mission. Become a member of BRCA today and you can help preserve the natural resources, heritage, and character of the Belgrade Lakes region. Membership dues pay for taxes and insurance on the land we preserve and cover administrative costs and countless other expenses involved in operating an active and successful land and lake trust. Members also receive our quarterly newsletter, a free copy of the BRCA Trail Map and Guide to the Kennebec Highlands (shown at right), and the opportunity to participate in the annual meeting and other events and local conservation activities.

You can also support BRCA by donating land, conservation easements, stocks and mutual funds, or by making a bequest. For more information on these and other means of support, please contact the office at 207-495-6039.

Volunteer

During the summer individuals and groups can help the BRCA stop the spread of invasive species in our lakes by volunteering as courtesy boat inspectors at local boat launches. To volunteer, contact the office at 207-495-6039 for more information. Training sessions are held on an ongoing basis over the summer.

Volunteers can also be as simple as baking cookies, setting up chairs, stuffing envelopes, looking for plants on boats, or as involved as marking trails, clearing invasive plants, leading a hike or canoe trip, or teaching an outdoor skill.
